Robert Lee Moore papers

This collection consists of papers of Robert Lee Moore from 1892-1940. The bulk of the collection includes case files pertaining to Moore's legal practice in Statesboro, Bulloch County, Georgia, and as Solicitor General of the Middle Circuit Court of Georgia. The collection also contains clippings, printed material, and expense reports relating to Moore's campaigns for Solicitor-General (1912, 1916) and Congressman for Georgia's 1st District (1920-1924).

Robert M. Benson family papers

Spanning 1937-1969, materials consist of indentures, deeds, promissory notes, insurance maps, and other legal and financial records from the earliest years of Georgia Southern University, then known as First District Agricultural and Mechanical School; materials also include personal and professional correspondences from Charles E. Cone Realty Company to active and prospective tenants about owning land in Bulloch County, as well as a variety of local land plats, oversized maps, blueprints, and posters; additionally, there are photographs of prominent local figures and family members. A notable entry are newspapers detailing the Apollo 11 moon landing in 1969. A selection of World War II field manuals, travel literature, and business documents are also present.

Roxie A. Remley papers

This collection consists of the papers of Georgia Southern Emerita Professor of Art, Roxie A. Remley, from 1942-2020. Materials include professional and personal correspondence, journals, day calendars, photographs, and other unpublished materials related to Remley’s work with the Women’s Army Auxiliary Corps (WAAC), later Women’s Army Corps, Georgia Southern College, the Statesboro First Methodist Church, and other local organizations. Examples of Remley’s artwork and framed prints are included as well as materials originally belonging to Georgia B. Watson.

The collection consists of printed and manuscript materials collected by S. E. “Zeke” Perkins, a lifelong resident of Evans County, Georgia. Materials include printed and manuscript materials related to several churches and the Hepzibah Baptist Association; a copy of the diary of John Rogers Smith's visit to the last Blue/Gray reunion at Gettysburg (1938); an unpublished manuscript history of the Perkins mill and lumber company, Hagan, Georgia; an unpublished manuscript history of Ezell Masonic lodge; information about Perkins family history; pamphlets and news articles about the Claxton Annual Rattlesnake Roundup (1970-1973); a Georgia almanac (1911); Evans County Jubilee volume (1964) ; and miscellaneous travel brochures and newspaper clippings.

Sheet Music collection, 1910-1950

This collection is an amalgamation of sheet music collections from five sources: the almost 2000 pieces of sheet music of early-20th century popular music acquired by Dr. Warren Fields in 1980 from Ms. L. Lieuwenkamp of Savannah, who had been a silent movie pianist; the 67 pieces which were acquired by Smith C. Banks from Mr. George Beasley and family in 1996; and the 218 pieces which came with the papers of Ronald J. Neil in 1994; eleven pieces from the late Richard B. Harwell; and 48 pieces, as well as music books and magazines, from Carolyn Lee.

Southeast Georgia Aerial Photograph Collection

This collection consists of aerial photographs of Georgia counties produced by the United States Geological Survey (USGS) from the 1940s to 1950s. The collection contains standard and oversized aerial photographs of Georgia counties including Bulloch, Screven, Toombs, Emanuel, Jenkins, and Wayne, and surrounding counties.

Spencer Wallace Cone family papers

This collection consists of materials related to the Spencer Wallace Cone family spanning 1810-1976 with the majority of materials dated between 1810 and 1892.. Materials include nineteenth and early twentieth century correspondence between members of the Cone family, including Spencer Houghton Cone and Spencer Wallace Cone. Also included are military documents related to the 61st New York Infantry regiment, legal documents, biographical information, sermons and notes by Spencer Houghton Cone, records of the Oliver Street Church (1825-1840), a household account book, photographs, and records relating to the settlement of Spencer Houghton Cone II’s estate. Spencer Wallace Cone’s literary works, including published and unpublished literary manuscripts, as well as artifacts collected by the Cone family are also included.

Stephen D. Geller papers

This collection includes the creative works of Stephen D. Geller and personal materials ranging from 1954-2007. Creative works include his completed screenplays, teleplays, scripts, manuscripts, novels, poems, research files, and other related materials. Personal bound copies of some of his works are handwritten while others are typed. Personal materials include family photographs, an astrology birth chart, correspondence, and materials related to Geller’s early education.

This collection consists of the research materials of Georgia Southern University Professor of Biology, Sturgis McKeever. Materials span 1921-1973 and include numerous reprints in regards to research on various animal species across North America. This collection also includes correspondence between McKreever and other academic researchers, written graphs, and charts. In addition, there are negatives and images in regards to his extensive notes and research.
