Jack Kingston papers

The collection consists of papers of Representative Jack Kingston from 1991-2008. Includes correspondence, newspaper clippings, speeches, minutes of meetings. There are also a number of cassettes and videos both on general subjects of public interest as well as Representative Kingston's radio and TV spots; also a number by Senator Saxby Chambliss of Moultrie.

Hill from 1989 to 2020, and personal, military, and family documents from before his time in office from 1965 to 2019. The collection consists of various personal documents, legislative records, constituent correspondence, press and media activity, audio visual materials, and artifacts from Senator Hill’s life.

Jared A. Fogel photograph collection

The Jared A. Fogel collection is comprised of eighty-five historic photographs ranging from 1860-1960. The photographs depict primarily queer men using figurative body language to indicate their sexuality. The first thirty-one photographs have descriptions provided by original collector, Patrick Hobgood.

Jarrett W. Palmer papers

Assembled by Dr. Jarrett W. Palmer (1874-1969), this collection features documents detailing Palmer's religious and medical practices in Ailey, Ga. Materials span 1895-1964, and include religious and medical publications, bank statements, financial and administrative forms, insurance paperwork, medical records and referrals, various artifacts from his practice, and other relevant documentation.

Joan Finke collection of The Little Theatre of Savannah, Inc.

This collection consists of the letters, notes, and production materials collected by Joan Finke, by way of C. Robert “Bob” Jones. These materials span 1968-1981 and largely concern the activities of The Little Theatre of Savannah, Inc. but also include groups such as The Island Players of St. Simons Island, The Masquers (Armstrong State College’s theater group), Savannah’s symphony, the Georgia Theater Conference and other local groups.

Johann Christoph Bornemann diary and translations

This collection consists of the original diary of German-born surgeon Johann Christoph Bornemann from the early 1750s during his visit to Georgia. Also included are translations of diary excerpts, translations of letters sent from Bornemann to German officials, and a biography compiled by Gertha Reinert. Researcher annotations also appear in the translated diary and letters.

The collection consists of letters to John Arthur Decoteau of Savannah, Georgia, from brothers and sister in St. Lucia, 1922-1928, as well as several letters to him from Alphonso Grant of Jersey City, N.J. and other friends, 1929-1930. The collection also includes various items belonging to Decoteau including mail, stamps, receipts and notices

John Fletcher Darley, Jr. papers

This collection consists of photocopies of the letters of United States Navy Hospital Apprentice First Class John Fletcher Darley, Jr. and his family sent from overseas and Marine bases in the United States in 1944 and 1945. Also included are photocopies of the telegram informing his parents that he had been killed in action and condolence letters from men who served with him.

John Paul Jones papers

The collection consists of correspondence, photographs, books, pamphlets, ledgers, and memorabilia of John Paul Jones and his family. The papers document Jones' military service, business interests, and membership in various fraternal and political organizations. Materials relating to Jones' service with the U.S. Army include letters from Jones to his family during the Spanish-American War (1898), correspondence (1915-1933) regarding Jones' pension, and printed materials pertaining to veterans' affairs and the National Guard. Records documenting Jones' painting and paperhanging business as well as his personal finances include bank records, receipts, correspondence, and account books. The collection also includes printed materials and receipts relating to Jones' involvement with Georgia Lodge No. 167 of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Ogeechee Lodge No. 213 of the Freemasons, Statesboro Lodge No. 97 of the Knights of Pythias, and the Ku Klux Klan. Miscellaneous materials include photographs; newspapers and newspaper clippings; advertising and promotional materials of local Statesboro businesses and national companies; a pamphlet on palmistry; and menus from the Central Hotel in Augusta, Georgia (August-September, 1874).

Joseph Everett Kennedy papers

This collection consists of the papers of Joseph Everett Kennedy, spanning 1965-1990. Materials Include correspondence, clippings, printed material, press releases, and memoranda pertaining to Kennedy's activities as Georgia Senator, 4th District (1967-1984), President Pro Tempore (1983-1984), and his unsuccessful campaign for Lt. Governor in 1990. The materials document legislation before the General Assembly and matters of interest to Kennedy's constituents including flag burning and natural resources.

This collection consists of the papers of Joseph T. Lawless. Materials span 1863-1963 and include personal and professional correspondence, newspaper clippings, newsletter bulletins, and a photograph. Materials mostly pertain to Irish nationalism and Irish Americans affiliated with the Friends of Irish Freedom organization. Correspondence to and from Joseph T. Lawless span 1918-1924 and discuss the push for an Independent Irish Republic and support from within the United States.

The bulk of the collection pertains to the personal life of Dr. Quattlebaum, the history of surgery, the surgical advancements made by Dr. Quattlebaum, and the history of automobiles and automobile racing.

This collection consists of the personal and research papers of Karl E. Peace, Professor of Biostatistics at Georgia Southern University and namesake of the Karl E. Peace Center for Biostatistics and Survey Research. Materials span 1941 to 2018 and include, correspondence, teaching materials, published articles, and manuscripts. A small portion of 3 photographs and artists renderings are also included. This collection is still undergoing processing.

Kiah House Museum student art collection

This collection consists of student artwork associated with the educational mission of the former Kiah House Museum in Savannah, Georgia. The majority of works were created from the 1940s to 1970s as part of the National Conference of Artists traveling show, an international art exchange program, in which the Kiah House Museum participated as a chapter as well as other traveling exhibitions. This collection also contains digital image files of the recovered artwork.
