Central of Georgia Railway records
Zach S. Henderson Library Special Collections
This collection consists of materials spanning 1941-1947 and includes business records and correspondence of the Central of Georgia Railway Company as well as detailed reports of employees’ United States military service during World War II. These reports include employee military records, interviews conducted by Central of Georgia Railway Company of veteran employees, and letters expressing their gratitude for their service in the war. Charles E. Cone Realty Company records

The collection consists of the Charles E. Cone Realty Company records from 1926 to 1957 the bulk of which cover the post-war period under ownership of Robert Moore Benson. Materials include correspondence, real estate agreements, plats, and maps of Statesboro, Georgia. Additional documents pertaining to the Charles E. Cone Insurance Company and the Benson Insurance Company are also included which contain information about rates, community committees, and soil conservation regions.

Charles Holmes Herty papers

Collection contains notebooks, photographs, and published material concerning Charles Homes Herty's 1901 experiments that resulted in the turpentine (or Herty) cup. The experiments were partly conducted on what later became the Georgia Southern University’s Statesboro campus. Includes typescript of "Charles Holmes Herty in Statesboro," by Maxwell Taylor Courson.

Materials include photocopied Crum and Exley family correspondence (1835-1865); photocopied minutes of the Effingham County Agricultural Society (1869-1889); photocopied plats (1821-1839); photocopied records and deeds of Effingham County.

This collection contains materials created and collected by Corinne Lanier Adams in her role as a professional music educator in Evans County, Georgia. Materials are dated 1877 to 1951 and include elementary educational materials, school papers, sheet music on popular music, especially of the 1920s and 30s, music books, school plays, and an assortment of magazines.

Corrie McDowell Martin papers

The collection spans 1933 to 1979 and consists of administrative records, correspondence, promotional booklets, newspaper clippings, and related materials documenting the activities of Liberty County organizations in which Corrie McDowell Martin was actively involved. Materials include a two-volume record of Daughters of the American Colonists (1940-1957); founding documents of the Midway Museum, Inc.; United Daughters of the Confederacy, 1949-1973 and other materials that document the history of Midway and Liberty County, Georgia.

This collection consists of photocopies of articles and book excerpts written by Roland M. Harper for publication in scholarly journals and various other botanical bulletins. Harper's works focus on botany, conservation, and social conditions, primarily in the southeastern United States. Spanning from 1900 - 2008, additional documents, photographs and audio visual materials pertaining to Roland M. Harper's family history is included.

This collection consists of mostly photocopied materials documenting the life of Daniel “Dan” Edgar Bland and the history of Bulloch County, Georgia. Materials originally span 1946-1982 and include genealogical documents, published manuscripts, and handwritten autobiographical materials. An original, hand drawn map of the Bland property is also included.

This collection includes annual scrapbooks documenting the history of the activities of the Daughters of the American Colonists, St. Philip’s Parish chapter from 1975-2017. Materials include chapter minutes, papers and photographs for chapter activities and events, fundraisers, memorial services, newspaper clippings, chapter yearbooks, and several copies of the organization’s yearly journal, The Colonial Courier.

Daughters of the American Revolution, Archibald Bulloch Chapter records

This collection includes the scrapbooks and meeting minutes that document the activities of the Archibald Bulloch Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution from 1964 to 2021. The scrapbooks include newspaper clippings, photographs, programs, correspondence, event and activity information, genealogical information of Revolutionary War veterans, and local history. The minutes detail Chapter meetings from 1964-2016, though the minutes from September 1984-May 1996 are missing.
