Teaching Social Studies in the Peach State is an open-access, peer-reviewed online journal and publishes two issues annually. Co-sponsored by the Georgia Council for the Social Studies, the Georgia Council for History Education, the Georgia Council for Economic Education, and the Georgia Council for Civic Engagement, the Journal provides a forum for K-16 social studies educators to share best practices, build community and deepen their knowledge about teaching social studies. With these goals in mind, the journal welcomes a wide range of submissions including reports on promising instructional strategies or lesson plans, critical reviews of curriculum resources (including digital, print & audiovisual) and research on significant topics related to social studies education.
The inclusion of articles and materials in this journal does not signify endorsement of such by the sponsoring organizations.
