Assessment and SoTL - Research

Abstract

University students often request a study guide to help them prepare for exams. Study guides can emphasize important concepts and content. The current study used a questionnaire to determine student perceptions of using optional study guides to prepare for an exam in an undergraduate human nutrition course. An optional questionnaire about study guide use was administered at the end of an exam. Results showed students felt the study guides both helped them learn the content and prepare for the exam. Further research should explore types of study guides, how they are used, and correlations to exam outcomes.
