Description

Raider Run is a tile-based movement board game in which players will be able to play as a Viking warrior. Players will progress through the game by moving through the tiles and by completing tasks indicated by different cards. Throughout the game, players will encounter hardships that are inspired by hardships the Vikings would have faced during the Viking age. Players will also encounter specific battles that occurred in history and will draw a card that explains the events of each battle. By doing extensive research, I have created a game in which players will not only be able to learn about the Vikings and their raids on England, but they will also be able to do so in a fun and entertaining way. My game is designed to allow players to learn more about the Viking Age in hopes of inspiring them to pursue further knowledge on the topic and to inform otherwise unknowing people about the Vikings.
