Presentation given at the Georgia International Conference on Information Literacy.
This presentation discusses the juxtaposition of digital genres with traditional academic genres. In discussing the method of pairing an academic research essay with a blog, and showcasing the resulting student writing, this presentation suggests that the conjunction of the two genres increases student learning and motivation, and results in better student writing and research.
