Abstract

Public Relations is recommended for a strategic thinker who likes to work with people in fast-paced environments. Organizational and communication (oral and written) skills are vital to one’s success. PR is a strategic process to maintain mutually beneficial relationships with different publics such as the media, consumers, communities, government, investors, and non-profit organizations. It entails communicating to the target audiences (publics) the value, services, products, and/or mission of an organization. PR majors will be expected to plan strategic, critical and creative campaigns, and be able to implement them in a competitive, contemporary manner.
