Teaching Practices (Poster Only) – Analysis, synthesis, reflection, and discussion
Abstract
While many colleges and universities have a Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) on their campus, others lack the space and resources for such a center. At our teaching-focused private liberal arts institution of ~3,500 students, we do not have a CTL. In response, in Spring 2017, we developed a monthly colloquium to provide a space for colleagues to share pedagogical tips and strategies that work specifically with our students. A summary of our program and reflections of this initiative will be discussed, with a focus on how others may launch similar programs at their institutions.
