Abstract

The M-ASSIST (Modified Approaches and Study Skills Inventory) is a published survey to measure deep and surface approaches to study. The M-ASSIST was given to over 100 CHEM 1211 and 1212 students along with survey questions about general study habits reflected by “classic” advice such as get as much sleep as you need and immediately go over exams when they’re returned, etc. Relationships between these results will be reported.
