Abstract
This presentation will help online instructors create opportunities for students to use self-reflection to gain a deeper understanding of the learning process. There are times when students approach the online academic learning environment with concerns of failure due to previous unsuccessful educational experiences. One way to assist students in overcoming these fears is to guide them through viewing failures as successes by incorporating growth mindset strategies. In this session, faculty will learn how to encourage student success by changing their mindset. Come explore strategies, resources, and research that will increase student engagement while helping turn mistakes into positive opportunities.
