Abstract
We challenged undergraduate Information Technology (IT) students in an Introduction to Networking course to use Design Thinking to encourage creativity and critical thinking while developing real-world Internet of Things (IoT) designs for a large southeastern university museum. This presentation will share examples of the design thinking process used by students and report on the student experiences as well as what we faculty have learned from the experiment.
