Abstract
The purpose of this research study was to assess student-learning outcomes through the inclusion of business concepts into a CAD textile fabrication course. Concepts for ‘business branding’ were presented, then students were challenged to incorporate branding into their creative design process. The branding lesson was developed and presented by a hybrid graduate student, with a project then facilitated through onsite teaching. The recorded lesson was made available via the institution’s online learning portal for additional student access. Pre-lecture and post-project learning surveys were administered to students to understand how the lesson impacted their design approaches for applying ‘business branding’ considerations.
