Abstract
This session reports the results of a teacher prepared, asynchronous online learning quiz, that enhances the potential for student success: a Readiness Activity. The Readiness Activity is an information-seeking exercise that requires the student to locate course-specific details and subject area content available from the course syllabus or accessible through the course learning management system. The Readiness Activity is composed of robust, multi-level academic tasks that are completed by each student prior to the first class meeting. Time will be reserved for session participants to consider ways a Readiness Activitymight be implemented within their teaching and learning context.
