Presentation Description
This presentation combines the literacy model, the Big 6, with an eighth grade Georgia studies unit. The lesson involves an assignment that connects local history with that of Georgia as a whole, as well as the United States and the World. The emphasis of the lesson also encompasses strengthening research skills, including evaluating print and electronic sources. A Google site (http://sites.google.com/site/johnscreekhistory/) contains all information pertaining to this lesson, and is accessible to the media specialist, teachers, and students.
