Presentation Description
This presentation will demonstrate a library instruction session conducted for a Mass Media Arts class: Public Relations Research. The objective was to educate students about media literacy through use of pop culture references and show them how to do complete scholarly research on pop culture topics. This 50 minute session is designed to prepare the students to write a paper about product placement. Using YouTube, Yahoo videos, Wikipedia, Biography Resource Center, and Business Source Complete, Hoovers Online students obtained the skills necessary to evaluate and consume simultaneously.
