Abstract

My proposal is about the process in creating a series of posters for a podcast that discusses songs, their lyrics and the theme both encompass. In order to create a curiosity for said podcast, posters will be created that will either be an illustration that depicts the song, or a part of the song, or lyrics of the song, in which the typography used also depicts the song. My idea stems from my love of music and the lyrics of songs, despite the language. I was trained to sing, so pronouncing and annunciating words were important, especially when the language was not English or Spanish, two languages I speak fluently. I enjoy the written stories woven with music, but I do believe the message of songs sometimes flies over the general public’s head because they missed the point. For those who don’t mind songs in other languages, a lot can be learned from reading into the lyrics further by translating and bringing a person to learn of another culture.
