The purpose of this research is to investigate how agendas are set and topics are framed by media platforms who cover hip-hop culture. With the increasing influence of hip-hop, how hip-hop entertainers and topics are depicted can have a large affect on how African-Americans are viewed and how stereotypes are reinforced. Content from social media platforms who cover hip-hop content was analyzed in order to investigate and understand how agendas are set and framing is used to influence audience perception.
