College of Science and Mathematics: Delena Gajdosik-Nivens

The College of Science and Mathematics is one of eight colleges that make up Georgia Southern University.

The College is home to six departments and a number of state-of-the-art teaching and research labs, three large research collections (Herpetology, Entomology, and Botany), the University Planetarium, the James H. Oliver, Jr. Institute for Coastal Plain Science, the U.S. National Tick Collection from the Smithsonian Institute, the Applied Coastal Research Laboratory on Skidaway Island, and the Foram Sustainable Aquaponics Research Center.

The Chemistry and Biochemistry Department is accredited by the American Chemical Society.
