Abstract

Research has shown that transparency in learning and teaching (TILT) can demonstrably enhanced student success in multiple ways. This presentation will review the critical components of transparent assignments, review some guiding documents and templates for use in creating transparent assignments, and provide an example of an assignment in an Organization Behavior Management class that was redesigned using transparent assignment principles. Data summarizing student achievement following the re-design will be shown along with student feedback. Audience members be asked to identify an assignment they might transform using transparent assignment principles and share their ideas as part of a group discussion.
