Abstract

Apps (on freestanding monitors, tablets, computers, or phones) allow the instructor to teach procedures in a visually appealing way that contributes simultaneously to the cognitive, affective, and hands-on psychomotor skills of the student in training. The author will demonstrate how apps provide a low-cost alternative to the didacticism of lectures, photos, and slides when delivering content regarding critical care practice.
