About SoTL – Analysis, synthesis, reflection, and discussion
Abstract
Do you feel stranded on an island without colleagues who understand and value SoTL? How can you initiate campus conversations to change SoTL work from an individual endeavor to an institutional priority? This session identifies steps faculty members can take to encourage their institutions to develop or expand institutional support systems through communities of practice. In our SoTL journey we’re asked “How do I do something like this at my institution? What steps can I take to expand SoTL now and in the future?” Using dialogue and activities participants will leave with steps to help get Gilligan to the mainland.
