Abstract
The standards of today's Millennial student for active rather than passive learning styles have driven transformations in the pedagogical model. To identify the preferred learning styles of Millennial student cohorts, we used the VARK Learning Style Inventory: Visual, Aural, Read/Write, and Kinesthetic (Fleming 2001.) Students completed the on-line VARK questionnaire to identify their preference for incoming course information. The results of each questionnaire also were presented to the faculty to enable them to better tailor their presentation of the course content to match students' preferred learning styles. Students also completed pre- and post-test instruments to measure attitudes regarding willingness to engage in course content. Participants will complete the VARK questionnaire on-line and learn instruments to provide support, information, and recommendations for blending content delivery styles to meet class and individual student learning styles.
