Description of Lecture
The southeast is a hot bed of vermin, and we who call this area home are constantly under attack by hoards of flying, crawling, stinging and biting arthropods [Greek arthron=joint + podos=foot]. Some may cause aggravation, irritation, chronic allergies, acute allergic reactions, disease and even death. Despite claims to the contrary, no one is immune from these pests, and sensitivity may increase with age. This talk will explore the facts and dispel myths about these creatures. Moonyean Brower, Department of Biology.
