Development of Digital-Twin Based Protection for Smart Micro-grid

Power transformers are one of the most fundamental elements of power delivery structure. Failure to protect the transformer results in cost increment and disrupts the constant power delivery system. Therefore, to protect the transformers, protection systems are needed to be established. However, with the establishment of the protection systems, unintentional outages might occur due to inaccuracies, noises. To avoid such situations, differential relays has been developed which provide both selectivity and sensitivity. Yet, there are several cases where false trips are seen due to the inability of differentiating between the fault and anomalies.
