The purpose of this study is to replicate a cryptolocker ransomware attack. Cryptolocker ransomware is one of the many forms of malware that encrypts the files on a device with the intent of keeping the files encrypted until the demanded ransom is paid in full. This is prevalent attack because every organization relies on the internet for communications and business operations.
