Tiffany Eudy is a non-attorney Special Education Advocate and President of In Bloom Advocacy. She has a 15+ year history of teaching Special Education and school administration in North Carolina public schools. She is passionate about reaching an equitable, personalized education for all students. She specializes in Special Education Laws and regulations, Multi-Tiered Systems of Support, Community Engagement in schools, and Autism Spectrum Disorders.

Join us to learn how to intentionally build meaningful partnerships with families throughout the MTSS framework and Special Education Processes. In this engaging presentation, we will outline recommendations on how to effectively collaborate with families to support your students. You'll leave with practical tools and strategies to actively engage families throughout the problem-solving process. During the session, we will discuss multidirectional communication, how to share and interpret student data for families, and new strategies to partner with families in the problem-solving process. You'll have the opportunity to participate in case studies and interactive discussions to strengthen your understanding of the material. By the end of this session, you'll be equipped with the skills to build strong school-home collaborations and improve student outcomes. Summary

During the session, participants will be provided with the up to date research on family and community engagement in the schools. Along with the direct impact an increase in family communication can have on student success as achieved by a multi-tiered system of support (MTSS). A brief outline of MTSS will be provided, along with ready-to-use takeaways for implementing strong community engagement strategies at each tier level. An example of a community engagement plan template, community resources matrix, and planning guide will be shared to assist in planning each school's approve to higher levels of community engagement.
