Summary
In this workshop, participants explore what it means to lead for equity within the challenges in which we find ourselves. Dr. Shields will guide attendees through practical exercises to understand how equity work connects to teaching/learning initiatives. The facilitator guides attendees through reflective questions to deepen equity work understanding and give strategies for immediate use with vulnerable, underserved students. These learning tools are to develop leaders with an equity lens. Using an equity lens, leaders work towards the creation of equitable practices and structures to be equipped to help other education communities.
