Summary
This session will serve as a relevant bolster for those seeking to support "Youth At Promise," as their work towards achieving their full promise and ultimately purpose. In addition, it will address how to fill an empowerment and opportunity gap for too often overlooked at-promise scholars. Pete Ferguson will share insight into infusing the T.R.A.C.K.S. proven blueprint into attendees present programming models/offerings, and attendees will gain insight into the programs' strength-based approach to support scholars self-identity and ability to self-advocate, claim and attain their vision and be servant leaders who advocate for educational and social justice, as seen in the documentary, "We Will Not Be Silent." Keith L. Brown, will provide first-hand knowledge of the impact and positive outcomes of scholars, families, school/community/district and greater city experiences directly enhanced by this program for "Youth At Promise." At the end of the session, participants will leave inspired, empowered and equipped to do the following: A- Successfully launch a leadership program to support, enhance, and engage the youth they serve. B-Create and Develop Relevant Projects that will keep youth engaged in meaning servant leadership and advocacy. CMinimize Negative behaviors in "Youth At Promise," by creating opportunities for their gifts and talents to flourish, so scholars can learn to effectively "Love Themselves," Believe In Themselves, Be Proud of Themselves, and show the world they are Geniuses.
