I feel that it is relevant to health due to the opiate crisis in the United States of America and the loss of lives thereby.
Brief Program Description
This presentation will help to empower those who work with the drug addicted population to identify, increase, and incorporate better means of services.
Summary
Participants will be exposed to empowerment based model of coping with addictions and helping the addicted utilize personal strength vs. weakness options to managing recovery, social, physiological, and psychological issues. Participants will leave better equipped to serve.
Evidence
The proposal is based on 4 years of implementation in the field and statistic based response by clients to model of service in various capacities of treatment work.
Biographical Sketch
Jean Belizaire is a Pastor, Spiritual Consultant, former Community Organizer, Street Outreach Program Coordinator, Gang Mediator of Haitian decent who has worked in his community to promote better race relations, educational empowerment and societal health.Jean is a student at Bridgewater State University in Bridgewater, Mass pursuing a degree in Psychology and Social welfare.
