Abstract or Description
We will examine three general Bailey pairs and show how the majority of entries in Lucy Slater's list of 130 identiites of Rogers-Ramanujan type follow from them. Further, we will see how a mild extension of Basil Gordon's combinatorial generalization of the Rogers-Ramanujan identities and two closely related partition theorems provide natural combinatorial interpretations for these Slater-list identities.
