Purpose

The Research Technology Standard serves as the formal governing framework for all data and technologies affiliated with research at Georgia Southern University  (University). Its primary purpose is to ensure funded research projects (to include local, state, federal, private, corporate and donor funds) meet mandatory data security requirements and contractually mandated stipulations through required consultations with the University’s Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) or designee.
