Description

Georgia Power required an electric sump pump replacement for their current pneumatic system. The mechanical team was assigned to design this backup system by using fundamental fluid mechanics equations. The pressure loss, head loss, and pumping power was specified based off of the given requirements of the system. Additionally, the specification sheet and bill of materials was revised to reflect the environmental factors that would affect the flow in the system.
