Description

Music educators take on the daunting task of teaching students a variety of complex executive skills. Among this list of skills for educators to impart to their students is the ability to play with good intonation. The fundamental basis of this study draws on Edwin E. Gordon’s music learning theory and his audiation based approach to the acquisition of musical profciency. The purpose of this study is to determine the best methods for teaching pitch discrimination in a band setting.
