Title: Making the Connection to Early Childhood Mental Health

Abstract

This session will provide information on Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health (IECMH), what it is, why it's important and how DECAL and other child serving state agencies are working o better support social and emotional health for young children and their families. The new IECMH Consultation Pilot will also be covered, with a discussion on how having an mental health professional to provide care coordination in the child care setting can support positive outcomes for children, families and teachers. This session could also include data from our IECMH Consultation Pilot evaluation.
