Presentation Abstract

In this session participants will form plans to promote the use of evidence-based practices to encourage positive interactions between adults and students to reduce exclusionary discipline. Practices will include providing pre-corrections and prompts, praising more than correcting, and providing behavior specific feedback. Participants will reflect on their current practice and settings to form action plans to implement specific practices to promote authentic connections for themselves and other educators (e.g., general educators, special educators, paraprofessionals)
