Abstract of proposed session
As mathematics teacher educators, we have a responsibility to prepare as many people as we can to teach mathematics in ways that foster a deeper understanding of the content. One of the ways we do this is by teaching preservice and inservice teachers in college programs. Another way is by providing professional development to inservice teachers. A third way is to prepare these “students” to present ideas they’ve learned to colleagues at their school, other schools in their district, at state and regional conference, and at national conferences. In this session, I will share my experience helping students present last year at GMC and one student will share her experience going through the process.
