Presentation Description
In Fall 2012 a new module on plagiarism was introduced as a choice for information literacy instruction for students in first year seminars at Auburn University. The lesson was created out of a need to help new students bring their understanding of academic integrity to a collegiate level. This presentation explains how the lesson plan was developed, the exercises included in the 50-minute class, the effectiveness of the class and what role plagiarism may play in information literacy in the future.
