Short Description
Today’s college students as part of the Millennial Generation are composed of natural computer users who expect information at their fingertips. This makes the Internet a valuable resource in the creation of engaged citizens. The project, “Promoting Engaged Citizenship Through Information Literacy” is designed to raise student awareness as to the wealth of government information available via the Internet in an effort to encourage long term political participation by focusing on “obtaining information” rather than “retaining information”.
