Short Description
A small group of Instruction Services Librarians at Ingram Library developed a one shot class to introduce first year students in UWG1101 to library resources through Google Books and Scholar. It provided students with an opportunity to learn how to access library resources in Google. Without overwhelming students with the nuances of using a database we were able to meet them where they start most of their research projects in Google. This class showed them it was okay to use Google and they could find scholarly materials for a research project that they could find at Ingram Library.
