Scope and Content

This collection consists of student artwork associated with the educational mission of the former Kiah House Museum in Savannah, Georgia. The majority of works were created from the 1940s to 1970s as part of the National Conference of Artists traveling show, an international art exchange program, in which the Kiah House Museum participated as a chapter as well as other traveling exhibitions. This collection also contains digital image files of the recovered artwork.

Acquisitions Information

The collection was donated by Dr. Deborah Johnson-Simon of the African Diaspora Museology Institute (ADMI), 2023. Series 2 contains artwork recovered from the residence of Rebecca Fenwick and subsequently given to the ADMI in August 2020.
