Practicing Critical Pedagogy: Joe Kincheloe’s Influences in the Field
Abstract
Tracing a history back to the 1980s, this retrospective describes the foundations of Joe L. Kincheloe’s scholarship, teaching, and personal-professional networks. The autobiographical intersections of friend, teacher, and scholar frame the curriculum theory developed and shared with Joe over the span of a career. Joe’s multi-faceted personality and talents reflect in his love of critical epistemology and axiology, as well as musicianship, and song writing.
