Abstract

In the Regional Issues in Multicultural Education course, we are using Photovoice as a tool for conducting research. For my project, I will conduct interviews based on the principles of Photovoice research methodology. The introduction of the Internet caused the offering of courses and programs to move from in person to online instruction. This transition has posed challenges for instructors, many of whom have not received training in online teaching or had much experience in this area. Because of these technological changes, this study will examine the experiences and challenges of traditional teaching faculty in higher education as they transition to fully online teaching. The purpose of this project is to interview faculty members and create a Photovoice project to present their concerns, successes and challenges of creating an online course.
