Prophets of Life: Religions (re)turn to Philosophy
Abstract
This paper submits that American Christianity has abandoned life. Instead they are driven by envy, revenge, and spitefulness
Presentation Description
In this paper I encourage curriculum scholars to enter into debates over religion in America. American Christianity has abandoned life and turned to revenge, envy, and spite to avoid serious issues facing people. At the same time, philosophers such as Nietzsche, Derrida, latour, and Caputo have embraced life and offer an alternative vision of religion that American Christians should embrace.
