Abstract or Description
This session attends to a unique examination of the crime control process as it manages crime and criminal victimization in terms of physical appearance. The public, the police, courts, witnesses, and all involved in identifying and responding to crime are affected by the physical appearance of the suspects and of the crime victims. The consequences are life-changing, usually not in a good way, of this form of bias.
