Abstract
At a major university in Southeastern United States, a notable decline in the number of HIV pre- and post-test sessions had been documented in the recent past (GSU Patient Census Report, 1996 & 1997). Given the rapid increase of HIV in this particular state, this was a notable occurrence. The purpose of this investigation was to determine what role, if any, HIV home testing kits played in this decline. The HIV antibody home testing market readiness and acceptability among this population was also explored.
