Abstract
The teaching of general chemistry and student performance in general chemistry has been the topic of much debate. Much research has been done recently concerning the effect of teaching method on student performance. We have been interested in how the students’ academic background affects performance. Several classes of general chemistry students at Georgia Southern University were surveyed in order to see what affected their performance.
