Abstract or Description
Presented at The Learning Center, LLC, Savannah, Georgia
Press Release: Auguste Rodin made the status of sculpture a major art form in the late 19th century when painting had dominated academic favor for the previous two-hundred years. He focused on the human experience and represented the flaws and weaknesses of his subjects in addition to beauty and strength. This lecture will chronicle the life and work of Rodin from a struggling young artist to becoming the most celebrated sculptor of his time.
