Abstract

Pirates Place Five On PBC Softball Squad; Alexis Mercer Named Player of the Year. Armstrong Atlantic State University junior shortstop Alexis Mercer was named the Peach Belt Conference's softball Player of the Year for a second straight year, announced Thursday evening at the league's annual awards banquet. Four other players joined Mercer in earning All-Conference honors.
