Abstract

No. 8 Pirates Split PBC Doubleheader With No. 12 Braves. Armstrong Atlantic State University junior righthander Chris Base hurled eight solid innings to give the No. 8-ranked Pirates a 6-1 Peach Belt Conference baseball victory over visiting No. 12-ranked UNC Pembroke in game one of a Sunday doubleheader at Pirate Field. UNC Pembroke earned a split in the doubleheader with a 10-1 win in game two.
